Workshop Hosts Visit from Manufacturing Representative

Employees at United Enterprises in Perryville made a positive impression during the recent visit of a representative for the Missouri Association of Manufacturers.
MASWM’s agreement with Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe’s office, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the Missouri Association of Manufacturers has led to many benefits just since its announcement last year, including several business contracts.

There are other benefits, too. Manager Janet Squibb at United Enterprise Inc. in Perryville recently shared a LinkedIn post about a workshop visit by Alyssa Andrews, marketing specialist at the Missouri Association of Manufacturers.

Here’s Andrew’s own words:

“Without fail, every time I visit a Sheltered Workshop, I am impressed by the meaningful work opportunities they provide.

Not to mention, the dedication and talent of the employees are always awe-inspiring.

During my recent visit to United Enterprise Inc., it was clear that their work makes a real difference in people's lives.

They create a supportive community for their workers and their commitment to providing valuable work opportunities to adults with disabilities is inspiring.

Unfortunately, like many organizations, United Enterprise Inc. has faced recent challenges, including a decline in work and contracts with larger manufacturers, which has resulted in layoffs.

This is why it's crucial to support organizations like United Enterprise Inc. and other Sheltered Workshops, which provide vital services and support to their workers.

If you're a manufacturer, please contact your local Sheltered Workshop directly to ask about their services and products.

Don't overlook a truly valuable workforce.

And extraordinary people.

Thank you to Janet Squibb and Kathy Maca for welcoming us into your facility and for your incredible work.

You are making a difference in so many lives.”

Manager Squibb admitted she was touched. “It warms your heart to hear how outstanding your employees are!” she said.

And to Andrews, we send a sincere “Thank You!” We couldn’t have said it better.
