MASWM's latest newsletter is special in several ways.

First, it's a special edition detailing the trip of several dozen members, consumers, parents, guardians and supporters to Washington, D.C., where they met with Congressman, Senators and staff members to discuss issues of importance to workshops today and into the future.

This issue also illustrates MASWM's official link with MESA (Missouri Employment Supports and Advocacy, Inc.), the sister organization designed to lead the way in communicating to elected officials and others who make decisions that impact Missouri workshops – decisions that lead to legislation like WIOA.

Most of all, the newsletter is a record of volunteers who are giving their time and resources to help tell the workshop story and ensure that workshops remain an important option for people with disabilities.
