The Right Talent, Right Now!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Many workshops are observing the event with activities to celebrate their successes and reach out to local businesses.

The 2019 National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme is "The Right Talent, Right Now." Observed each October, NDEAM celebrates the contributions of workers with disabilities and educates about the value of a workforce inclusive of their skills and talents.

We’ve attached several documents you can use to create your own activities:

• The 2019 NDEAM Poster (PDF)

• A Microsoft Word sample template (feel free to edit this sample to fit your needs).

• Sample posters created by Lafayette Industries to give you ideas on events you can hold: Flyer 1; Flyer 2.

More information is also available at this link on the Department of Labor website.
