Lebanon Bank Brings Christmas In October for Laclede Industries’ Employees

Fifty-five employees from Laclede Industries in Lebanon recently experienced Christmas in October when they went on a shopping trip at Walmart as part of First State Community Bank’s “Gives Back Month.”

Each person was given $50 to spend for food, clothing or other needs. “Most of these people are on fixed incomes and they don’t ever get to just splurge with $50,” said Merri Hess, FSCB marketing officer.

“This was a first for us and we can’t thank First State Community Bank enough for picking us,” noted Linda Kimrey, Laclede Industries director. “Our people were looking so forward to this event and couldn’t stop talking about what they were going buy! The majority of them are on fixed incomes and never get extra money like this, so today was like Christmas for them!”

The event was also covered in an article by Steve Smith in the Laclede Record. The complete article is available at this link.
