Dignified and meaningful employment
for people with disabilities

Big Success
For DC Visit

Missouri Day on the Hill was a great success July 24-26 in Washington, D.C.

More than two dozen members of the Missouri delegation traveled to the nation’s capital for meetings with the state’s federal representatives and their staff members.

The big day was Wednesday, July 25 with a walk to the nation’s capital at 8 a.m. where a room was reserved for meetings with Congressmen and women, Senators and staff members to discuss issues critical to workshops and, especially, the more than 6,000 employees with disabilities and their families.

After a long day of meetings, retired Congressman Jon Porter provided a VIP tour of the Capitol, which includes a walk onto the Speakers Balcony and other areas normally off limits to the public. After the tour, the group walked to the nearby Porter Group Offices for a reception attended by even more legislators and staff members.
