Dialogue Under Way on Critical Issue for Workshops, Those They Serve

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is hosting a national online forum on Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The forum provides an opportunity to share your ideas, individual stories and personal experiences that show the impact of having a commensurate wage program option available for individuals with disabilities.

The ODEP is looking to capture perspectives about Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act based on individual input from those “on the ground.” The results of this online dialogue, along with other research, will be summarized in order to provide an overview of Section 14(c) at the state and national levels.

The ODEP strongly encourages individuals with disabilities and their families who have experience with or opinions about commensurate wage employment programs to share their perspectives and ideas for the future.

To add your comments and share your experiences, go on line to 14cdialogue.ideascale.com. Once on this website, you can submit your comments by responding to the topics posted.

The deadline to add your comments is Friday, June 14!
